De 40C a 7C!!! Brrrrrrr!

  On voulait visiter "Crater Lake" en pensant qu'il y aurait un peu de neige,mais avec jusqu'a 12 pieds de niege par endroit et de la pluie, la seule chose qu'on a vu etait du brouillard! Ca ne vallait meme pas le peine d'esseiller de prendre des photos du lac! On a ecouter un petit film de 20 mins, qui nous expliquait qu'il y avait des "snow drift" de 20 a 40 pieds de haut en hivers. Ca prend a peu pres 4 mois au travaillants de nettoyer les route pour ouvrir le parc pour l'ete!!Alors si jamais vous penser d'y venir, je suggere que ce soit a la fin juillet ou en aout!
  
   We wanted to visit Crater Lake but the rain and the snow kind of ruined it for us! The two combined just created a big fog, totaly impossible to even see the lake a little bit. There was still some snow banks of up to 12 ft high at some places. A video that we watch explain that snow drifts can build up between 20 to 40 ft high at some places and that it takes about four months for the work crew to clean up the roads for the summer! So if you have plans to visit this place, I suggest at the end of July and August.

 Just to show you what we had to ride in passing through this place! Even the roads looks icy!!!

  On est maintenant a Portland Oregon, moin de 6 hres de Vancouver Canada. Rejean nous a suggerer un chemin ou deux qu'on devrait fair en montant a Vancouver,alors on va "checker" ca!

  We are now in Portland Oregon, less than 6 hrs from Vancouver Canada. My brother Rejean suggested a road or two that we should check out while we drive up!

On est partit de Folsom Dimanche matin pour eviter le traffique. De la route 50, on a embarquer sur la 80 jusqu'a la 37,pour se fair prendre dans un autre "traffic jam",a cause  que c'etait "Race Day" (1 hre environ).De la 37 on a prix Lakeville Hwy pour aller prendre le chemin Bodega qui change a Valley Ford Rd,et qui joint la 1. De la on a sui la 1 jusqu'a la 101. De la 101, on a prit la 36,tres reconnu comme etant une des meilleur route pour la moto au Etas Unis. La 36 join a la 5 a Red Bluff. De la on a monter pour prendre la 97,pour se fair prendre dans un troisieme "traffic jam", a moitie chemin de Crater Lake. Maintenant, on est  a Klammath Oregon, 45 mins de "Crater Lake". 

Hier soir on est arreter a un campground et ils voulaient $35 pour la soiree, une chambre de motel nous coutait seulement $50!! Allo!!!!

Again,I'm too lazy to translate! This just explain our path on the bike. If you follow the numbers from the beginning it will be the same! Route 36 is just awesome!

Nous encore dans une filee sur la route 97, pour la troisieme fois pendant notre voyage! Le deuxieme foie etait sur la route 37,a cause  que c'etait la journee de la course d'automobile! On commence a etre pas mal bon a choisir nos routes!!!LOL

Us of course, in a traffic line up on route 97, for the third time on our trip! The second time was on route 37 because of race day!We are getting pretty good on choosing our roads!!!LOL

Ok!, J'comprend pas pourquoi que les video sont pas a la bonne place,mais je suis sur que vous pourrez vous debrouillez!! Et en plus, "minder" pas ma grammaire!!!LOL
 Quand on est parti du "South Rim",on a prit la 64 sud pour joindre la 40 jusqu'a la 93,pour se rendre ensuite au "Hoover Dam". Ensuite on a continuer sur la 93/515 jusqu'a Las Vegas.On a manquer la 215West et on a du se rendre a la 15 en continuant sur la 93/515/95,ca c'etait du fun!!!! Ensuite embarquer sur la 15 sud jusqu'a passer Barstow pour prendre la 58  jusqu'a "Four Corners" pour prendre la 395 Nord. On a du attendre environ 1 hre en ligne car il y a une "traffic light" a "Four Corners"!!

Je vous ai ti de perdu??haha...! Moi, j'suis plus perdu asteur que j'etais en conduisant!!!LOL

   Anyway, on a monter la 395  jusqu'a "Inyokern" pour descendre la 14 pour embarquer sur la 178 jusqu'au lac Isabella.De la on a prit la 99(Kern Rver Highway) jusqu'a la 190 pour monter nord jusqu'a la 198.De la, on a prit la 216 pour prendre la 245 nord jusqu'a la 180, a Kings Canyon.
 De Kings Canyon on a suit la 180 ouest pour passer dans Academy et Friant Dam, pour embarquer sur la 41 nord. De la 41 on a prit la 49 pour joindre la 50 ouest jusqu'a finalement "Folsom"
  We will be heading towards Vancouver  Canada, Sunday morning realy early, to miss this crazy traffic!

  Ok this is too long to translate,so I think you can figure out by following the route #s wich way we went!! Sorry but I'm on vacation and I don't work more than I have too!!! LOL...!

Folsom, California

Ce video montre  des virages continuels qu'on a  du fair sur les routes 41,49 et 245 en Californie.La vitesse maximal et comfortable etait de 60kms/hre. Une distance de 120 a 150 kms en  trois sections de 40 a 50 kms chaqunes!

This is a video of the turns on routes 41,49 abd 245 in California!The highest speed we could go with the load on the bike was 60kms/hr. this is just a short one, we have a 3mins video of this too. We did bout 120 to 150 kms of winding road in three section of about 40 to 50kms each!! 

Fallait que je vous montre mon vest que je portais pour me rafraichir!Tu croirrais qu'a 40C qu'ajouter des vetement serais la derniere chose a fair,mais dans ce cas tu trompe le veste dans l'eau pour une quinzaine de mins et ensuite tu le porte sous ton manteau.Pas croyable comment ca fonctionne bien!Ca dur pour environ 5 heures!! Joline n'a jamais porter le siens,alors il sera a vendre!

Showing off my cooling vest!You would think at 40C you wouldn't add more clothes,but in this case you soak this vest in water for about 15 mins and wear under jacket. It works wonders!!A very good buy!Joline never wanted to wear hers,so it will be for sale!!

Still Riding!!

Du camping sauvage! On a pris une route de tere pour fair l'ver la poussiere!!(du Kevin Parent) 100kms environ, et on est camper a cet endroi. Rien d'autre qu'une belle pliene lune!

Un apercu de la route qu'on a du prendre pour ce rendre au "South Rim"! Vous pouvez voir la route en tout petit derriere le parbrise!!! Haaa, etes-vous pas "impress avec mes bon mots!!!LOL

De Huricane on a prit la route 59 et 389 pour se rendre a Kenab sur la 89. La on a visiter le "Best Friends" animal shelter". Il y a une emission qui passait a la television a toute les semaine pour 28 episode sur cet endroit. Ensuite on est descendu la 89 pour prnedre un chemin de terre, route 22, qui commence juste apres Fredonia,et qui sort a moitie chemin de la route 67, pour se rendre au North Rim du Grand Canyon. Ensuite repris la 89 pour joindre la 64 pour se rendre ou on est maintenant au South Rim du Grand Canyon!

"Arches", "Bryce Canyon" and "Zion" !!!

Here are photos of the three places we visited in the last 5 days! Since last Friday we have hiked about 50kms or more, well woth the sweat!!The first 5 pics are from "Arches", the next 5 are from "Bryce Canyon",and the next three are from "Zion". Leaving Bryce this morning I noticed my back tire was low and the two pictures with Kirby(mechanic),super nice guy is what we found and had to do!Kirby was all excited as this was the first BMW bike he worked on! We took over 500 pictures already,so it was hard to show them all!
 We are now at a motel in Hurricane Utah,south of Zion, after 5 nights of camping,so we can charge all the necessary equipment and enjoy a swim in the pool! Joline is already there! So I got to go and join her!

Salt Lake City!

The highlight of our excusion downtown, was the carriage ride!Gerry (horse) is a recue and was a movie star and now enjoys meeting people and showing them part of the city! Tae(Ty) the driver was like the rest of the folks here,very friendly.We have nothing negetive to say about Salt Lake city,people are friendly,the weather is great and the food is good!

These next pictures are at a fountain in the Morman Temple.Looks like we're sitting on water!!

Salt Lake City!

We've made it to Salt Lake City!Some bagage didn't make it with us but they should be at the motel by this afternoon! It will give us a chance to relax and get things ready. And visit this place a bit!
I'm not the biggest traveler, but I think the States will have to retrain some of their employees at the airport! Our plane from Toronto to Chicago was late due to the weather from an other area.When we got to Chicago 2hrs late we were told that the next two available flight to Salt Lake were booked solid.But my girlfriend Joline wasn't satisfy and kept on pushing(Way to go dear!) and another fine gentleman(ticket agent) got us on a plane last night! When we left off the plane was 3/4 empty!! Imaging that!LOL
